Bolton Wanderers Community Trust (BWCT) welcomes a new sport to the Premier League 4 Sport project. As from September 2011 Hockey will be delivered in selected high schools across Bolton which will further opportunities for young people to take in such a fantastic sport as part of the Olympic movement of London 2012. BWCT will partner up with Hockey England and also Bolton Hockey club to offer the opportunity for young people aged 11-19 years and get them involved with the Olympic sport of hockey.  
 

Vicky Dean a representative from Bolton Hockey club quotes ‘Bolton Hockey Club are delighted to be involved with the prestigious club of Bolton Wanderers Football Club.  We are keen to work in partnership to offer more young people in Bolton the opportunity to play hockey.  Bolton Hockey Club has a thriving senior and junior section but has capacity for more young people to play and this partnership will help to find new hockey talent and take them down a pathway to achieve their potential in hockey’.   

 

The England Hockey Board (EHB) states that 'we are delighted to work in partnership with Bolton Wanderers Football Club, and see the PL4S programme as a great way to engage and use the Premier League, to develop hockey in local schools in Bolton with the support of Bolton Hockey club'.
