Bolton Wanderers Community Trust Support National School Sport week
Week beginning the 27th of June, Bolton Wanderers Community Trust supported the National School Sports week by using a variety of sports that feature within the Premier League 4 Sport Project; Volleyball, badminton, judo and table tennis.
Delivered by the Youth Sport Trust, National School Sport Week uses the power of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to inspire more young people to take part in and understand the value of sport.

In 2010 approximately 14,000 schools and 5 million children took part. Schools organised their own Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Torch Relays, inter and intra school competitions, pupils made Sports Pledges to take part in more sport and to try something new. It provides an excellent opportunity to embed the Olympic and Paralympic Values within school’s sporting activity.

Smithills High School of Bolton was one of many schools in Bolton that supported the National School Sports week. Young people from this school got the chance to try out Olympic sports that are supported by the Premier League 4 Sport Initiative as part of the London 2012 legacy plans
