Bolton Wanderers Community Trust recently welcomed Danny, Perry and Jaffa from Cricket 4 Change up from London to visit the Bolton Street20 programme. The visit included some Street20 training of young participants from the project and also the running of the first two Bolton Street20 tournaments.
Cricket 4 Change’s Training Manager Danny Baker had this to say about the visit to Bolton;
"Visiting the Bolton Street20 programme demonstrated just how Street20 Cricket can be played anywhere. If you asked the average cricket fan about playing cricket in an old factory, they would laugh at you yet with Bolton's imaginative and innovative approach to sporting opportunities, the true benefit of sport was shown and that it is all about the personal development than the winning. A great effort from all at Bolton Wanderers Community Trust.”
Street20 Coordinator Richard Slater said;
"I would like to thank Danny, Perry and Jaffa for coming up to Bolton Wanderers to visit the programme. They delivered a top class training day for the young lads from the programme whilst their assistance in running and organising the two Bolton Street20 competitions was fantastic. The guys passion for the programme and their delivery is second to none, they showed that through the power of sport and in this case cricket you really can inspire people, create chances and change lives".
