Bolton Wanderers Enterprise Academy
The Community Trust has recently secured another new project. Through Bolton Wanderers Enterprise Academy students have the chance to work towards and gain a nationally recognised qualification tailored to reflect abilities and age range.
Bolton Wanderers Enterprise Academy will use Bolton Wanderers FC to inspire and motivate young people about the challenging world of business. Bolton Wanderers Enterprise Academy will use the power of football and the model of a Premier League Football Club to deliver a classroom based programme which aims to develop young people’s understanding of business and enterprise.
As a result of their participation in the programme young people will gain the benefit from understanding a business model leading to improved enterprise skills, educational attainment and raised aspirations.
The 10-module Enterprise Academy focuses on educating pupils in the operational and business side of a Football Club, demonstrating to them that professions within the football industry range far wider than the 11 players a club has on the pitch. Each participating school & pupil will receive a workbook & resources to assist them through their time in the Academy. All successful candidates receive a certificate to mark their achievement.
The programme provides young people with an engaging and creative insight into the workings of a business, in this case a Premier League Football Club.
